UWI Campuses

The University College, established in 1948 at Mona, Jamaica, was the first Campus of the University of the West Indies. Subsequently, campuses were established at St. Augustine, Trinidad (1960) and Cave Hill, Barbados (1962). Today the University of the West Indies comprises 3 main campuses, the Centre of Hotel and Tourism Management in the Bahamas, the Institute of Business at St. Augustine and Mona as well as 11 non-campus centres situated in other Caribbean countries.

Distance Education Centre: The University of The West Indies (UWI) Distance Education Centre (DEC) works with faculties of UWI located on the three campuses in Barbados, Jamaica and Trinidad & Tobago, as well as with other organizations, to develop and deliver quality programmes by distance, to meet the learning needs of the people of the Caribbean. There are DE centres located in all the English-speaking Caribbean countries that support UWI.

Intranet, St. Augustine: The University of The West Indies, St. Augustine makes this Intranet available to UWI staff. You can get the latests updates, find HR related forms, access to other UWI related online services, Calendar of Events and more.

My STA: Welcome to the UWI St. Augustine Student Portal. You will be able to login to the mySTA student portal to gain access to the systems that will allow you to view your academic records, online courses as well as your new and improved email solution

St. Augustine UWI Online:  Students can logon to get their personal information as well as check grades, apply for admission, register, view academic records and financial aid.

Staff Phone Directory: Search the employee directory to get phone extension, department, email address.

Staff E-mail:  Only UWI, St. Augustine Campus staff can logon to access email services. The url is https://webmail.uwi.tt/

WebCT: WebCT (Web Course Tools) is used to deliver course content online. If a lecturer has prepared a course in WebCT, then the students registered for that course will have acces to it.
